An exciting opportunity  of Scientist in  OAQC Microbiology Lab has risen at our site in Corsier-sur-Vevey.

Our state-of-the-art Microbiology Laboratory in Corsier-sur-Vevey plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products through comprehensive microbiological testing and analysis. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Scientist in Microbiology to join our dynamic team. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with GxP (Good Practice) standards and supporting various laboratory activities, including audit preparation and execution. YOUR ROLE

  • Supporting the Manager and colleagues in laboratory operations and acts as SME during the Audit
  • Collaborating with other scientists in the lab to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborating with the team to implement and optimize new technologies in the lab.
  • Participating in cross-functional projects and collaborations with other departments to ensure alignment and support for overall objectives and assisting with projects at the GAD LAB.
  • Overseeing deviations, change controls, assessments across various projects and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
  • Supporting audit activities and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Managing microbiology KPIs, as well as developing and validating new microbiological methods and assays.
  • Performing Method suitability on Bioburden, Bacterial Endotoxin Testing (BET), and Low Bioburden testing on various samples and conducting stability studies and environmental monitoring programs.

 

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biotechnology, or a related field with an experience of at least 3 years, preferably in a microbiology, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience in managing projects within a microbiology lab and familiarity with laboratory documentation practices and regulatory standards.
  • Good expertise in Bacterial Endotoxin Testing (BET), Bioburden, and Low Bioburden testing.
  • Strong expertise in driving method suitability
  • Expertise in generating risk assessments and applying the bracketing approach or reducing testing.
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven, with curiosity towards new tools and technologies.
