The Biotech Development Center (BDC) is our Company's flagship biotech investment in line with the ambition to stay the Vibrant Science and Technology Company. The BDC is integrating analytical technologies of the future with high-tech automatized and digital laboratories, in a flexible, agile and highly collaborative environment.
Your role:
As an Automation engineer you will support life cycle of BDC production systems (PCS, MES, Data Historian & PAT Manager), new molecule introduction and optimization projects.
Your key responsibilities in this role are:
- Support of production activities in case of automation support & troubleshooting for BDC production systems with Emerson DeltaV as core system (PQ service)
- Implement automation software changes as per production request following established change management process (Emerson DeltaV system).
- Retest and document automation changes.
- Drive implementation of continues improvement project for BDC production systems.
- Assure life cycle of BDC production systems with Emerson DeltaV as core system.
Who you are:
- Graduate engineering degree in industrial automation, robotics, or equivalent
- Experience in automation engineering and maintenance, ideally in operation of a pharmaceutical plant.
- Several years (ideally 5+) of experience with SW configuration in Emerson DeltaV system (Life Science is a must)
- Very good understanding of Biotech processes and equipment of Upstream, Support and Downstream areas would be an asset.
- Experience with MES system and / or PAT systems would be an asset.
- Knowledge of GMP compliance requirements.
- Autonomous, able to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision or oversight.
- Problem-solving mindset, able to take ownership and drive resolution of an issue to the end.
- Business-fluent English, French would be an asset.
