Strat date : 01.01.2025
Duration: 6 months
Location: Corsier-sur-Vevey
Role: Internship
Business case:
Pharma4.0 aims at leveraging the digitalization efforts to develop and manufacture medicine at more efficient pace. Digital twins technology is an enabler of reaching digital transformation. Building robust predictive mechanistic/ hybrid/ data models remain the core of digital twin technology. These mechanistic/ hybrid/ data models correlate the effect of process parameters on the quality profile in each bioprocess. Robust process models can aid in reduction of number of experiments and bring medicines faster to patients. This internship will be focused on developing predictive models for downstream drug substance development using mechanistic models.
Your Role
The outcome of the internship will be testing the experimental workflow for building predictive mechanistic models for chromatography step. The experiments will be performed at robotic scale, and gPROMS will be used as a mechanistic modelling software to aid the data analysis. The robustness of the model developed will be analysed and reported during the project.
Your profile:
- Master in Chemical engineering, Biotech engineering.
- Experience working with data / mechanistic models would be ideal, but is not absolutely necessary
- Software: Python/ MATLAB / Gproms/ Dynochem / DoE
- Wet lab experiments experience like cationic chromatography, SEC-HPLC
- Language: English
