Internship in lab automation: implementation of analytical methods on robotic platforms
Introduction
If you are passionate about lab automation and analytics for biotherapeutic development, this opportunity is for you! Located at the state-of-the-art Biotech Development Center (BDC) in Corsier-sur-Vevey, you will work alongside experienced robotics, formulation and analytical scientists in the Global Drug Product Development (GDPD) team. Your internship will focus on developing and implementing analytical methods, such as chromatography, on our highly automated robotic platform. Analytical methods will have to be transferred from the lab to the robotic, or they will have to be transferred and adapted from existing platforms.
Your role:
During the internship, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn and understand the main challenges for analytical methods in terms of automation and throughput
- Learn how automated approaches and robotics can speed up development of biotherapeutics
- Work alongside analytical scientists to have a broad overview of methods used in drug product development, both in the lab and on robotic platforms
- Contribute to our ambition of delivering more medicines to more patients, faster
Your profile:
- Background in chemistry/physics/biology.
- Experience with analytical methods for protein-based samples (e.g. chromatography, electrophoresis)
- Interest in experimental work and lab automation.
- You have high levels of autonomy, but also enjoy teamwork.
- Good knowledge of English.
