Overview:

The IA service provides small batch, fast turn-around products, including custom Liquid and Dry Powder Media and sterile solutions, for process development, feasibility, scale-up, and screening studies. The IA Supervisor role transitions from hands-on operations to a supervisory position as the Daejeon site becomes fully operational. This role is crucial for shaping IA operations and ensuring successful production launches. The supervisor will manage daily manufacturing activities to meet customer requirements on time and with quality, oversee the operating condition of manufacturing areas and equipment, and may provide problem-solving and technical advice to Commercial Manufacturing.

Your role:

• Training and Development:

Participate in comprehensive training at the Lenexa and Songdo sites to gain insights into IA operations and best practices.

• Documentation and Compliance:

Review and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IA processes.

Conduct risk assessments for the IA Lab to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Equipment and Facility Setup:

Participate to the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of blending and milling equipment.

Assist in the selection, ordering, delivery, and installation of small equipment necessary for operations.

Organize and set up the IA Lab to facilitate efficient operations and workflows.

Participate to the Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of blending and milling equipment.

• Operational Readiness:

Run engineering tests and conduct comparability studies, including analysis and reporting, to validate processes.

• Manufacturing Support:

Actively participate in production activities as a Manufacturing Technician during the initial startup phase, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to quality standards.

These responsibilities involve travel requirements (10-15%) during the initial project phase.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree or more in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Practical knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, testing, and release criteria in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
• Understanding of manufacturing systems, MRP, and quality systems in a regulated environment.
• 1-3 years of experience in people management (including goal setting, employee development, and performance management).
• Preferable experience in industrial large molecule drug production, as well as manufacturing, packaging, and testing processes.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and time management skills; ability to work under pressure and motivate others.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English.
• Ability to analyze data sets and make technical recommendations based on scientific and manufacturing principles.
• Proficient in using Lean and Operational Excellence tools to improve processes and create efficiencies.
• May require travel several times per year.
