Your Role:

The LS Korea EHS Manager is responsible for managing and implementing the company's environmental, health, and safety (EHS) strategies, with a focus on supporting the Life Science business. (50%) and Korea EHS tasks (50%) under SAPA requirements. The role ensures compliance with legal requirements and internal policies while fostering a strong safety culture across the organization. The EHS Manager identifies and mitigates potential risks, manages companywide EHS programs include Process Safety excellent, and ensures a safe and sustainable operational environment.

 

  • Reports to Korea EHS Manager directly and work closely with the Site EHS team as the EHS in LS Korea Business & leading process safety/safety culture in all Korea sites.

  • Ensure compliance regarding local EHS laws for operation in LS Korea sites include during site construction period.

  • Ensure the conformance with EHS policy and Global EHS standards.

  • Responsible for responding to EHS-related government agencies and negotiating government requests.

  • Develop the Annual Korea Compliance audit include PSM internal audit/EHS compliance audit under SAPA requirements with site EHS team. And track for the status of progressing at all organization at Korea site. Communicate with site director and/or Project Manager include dept managers to achieve the goals.

  • Develop the action plans of new and revised regulations for all sites. And verify the action plans are progressing as planned at each dept following local regulations and standards.

  • Advise site and project organizations to conduct safe research activities and comply with related laws and lead changes in related permits.

  • Manage the compliance management based on the EHS IT platform so that each dept can implement regulatory tasks related to EHS.

  • Perform the role as a contact person of EHS & process safety issues in all Korea site organization and construction project.

  • Perform the role of site lead in the EHS area such as lead the meetings and involvement in the issues.

 

 

 

Who you are:

 

  • Job Incumbent is expected to have 10 years EHS & process safety work experience in a similar work environment, as in a manufacturing plant.

  • 5 years in the chemical plant a related industry.

  • Educational: Bachelor's degree or higher (preferably in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field)

  • Preferred candidates with experience in safety culture (especially those with experience in the Bradley Curve safety model)

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders within the organization by English.
