Your role:

The Clinical Research Scientist (CRS) represents and may lead clinical activities on the assigned oncology clinical study(ies) and/or project(s) within global clinical development oncology. You interact with the multi-disciplinary, matrix, global teams ensuring that scientific, clinical and other topics are appropriately considered with respect to highly complex data findings and escalated to Clinical Lead(s) as appropriate.

As an individual contributor, you will

  • have significant impact on the creation, maintenance, and execution of the clinical study protocol or the clinical development plan in the development of the company’s oncology portfolio
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors / Clinical Leads in creation of proposed concept sheets for clinical studies
  • Communicate and train clinical development team members, as well as other teams (i.e clinical operations, etc) in new scientific directions within the oncology program(s)
  • Drive creation and annual update of relevant study documents (protocol, IB, DSUR, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors / Clinical Leads to ensure medical and scientific data surveillance of ongoing clinical studies.

 

Who you are: 

 

  • Graduate in Life Sciences (Master of Science or equivalent; PhD, preferred)
  • Strong scientific background in (Immuno-)Oncology
  • Experience in product & clinical development (at least 3-5 years in an industrial or comparable setting)
  • Knowledge in regional & global regulatory requirements and relevant ICH-GxP gudielines
  • Medical or clinical knowledge and experience in clinical development/operations with the capacity to monitor labs and other clinical data from clinical trials
  • Ability to interpret and to integrate complex data, including, clinical safety and efficacy data, pharmacokinetics, biomarker and next generation sequencing data
  • Capability to perform literature searches and to utilize library services, digest the information and synthesize the key take-away points
  • Excellent communication skills -verbal and in writing, both in native language and English
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization environment as a team player
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive in predicting issues and solving problems
  • Ability to drive decision-making within a multi-disciplinary, multi-regional, matrix team
  • Ability to work independently on assigned complex tasks or projects with scientific rigor
