This position can be filled on a hybrid basis (3 days per week on-site) in Germany (Darmstadt) or the US (Boston).

Your role
 
We are currently seeking to appoint Director level, Due Diligence Lead to oversee due diligence (DD) activities in each of our key disease areas of Oncology, Neurology or Immunology, respectively. Working within a highly skilled team, you will lead on all scientific and technical due diligence processes for potential partnering, acquisitions, or licensing deals. The role will require you to utilise your own expertise in global drug development, as well as the expertise of other internal and external experts to deliver full due diligence assessments to senior management to support key investment decision making.

Who you are

• 6+ years work experience in biotech/ pharma drug development in global drug development, including track record of leading multidisciplinary global project teams in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical development process, with credible hands-on R&D experience and demonstrated expertise in multiple areas of drug development and/or broad working knowledge spanning research, pre-clinical development, process development, manufacturing, clinical, and regulatory processes.
• Strong knowledge in the relevant therapeutic area, i.e. N&I, ONC, CM&E is beneficial
• Experience in conducting and leading Due Diligences and related activities with demonstrated experience of honing in on key questions and guiding diligence teams.
• Excellent global team leader with strong communication and team leadership skills, including decision making, conflict resolution, and influencing skills; recognized entrepreneurial drive
• Strong project management, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work in intense, fast paced, matrixed, multinational work environment
• Ability to see opportunities and create value beyond the obvious by e.g. combining expertise of different partners
• Ability to represent the company and to interact at all levels both internally and externally across key geographies in which we operate
• Position requires both domestic and international travel up to 30% of time
