Your Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director in NBE Research (m/f/d) to join our Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering department. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee NBE-based research projects in the exciting fields of Oncology and Immunology. You will develop and implement assay strategies that are crucial for advancing immuno-oncology and immunology, utilizing cutting-edge techniques such as multicolor FACS and Western Blot. Your expertise will guide the functional screening of bi- and multispecific antibody derivatives, showcasing your strong background in antibody engineering. Collaboration and communication will be key, as you will work closely with your team and various departments to drive innovation. Building and maintaining robust networks within the scientific community and industry will be essential for your success. You will also manage outsourcing initiatives to enhance our research capabilities. Familiarity with laws and regulations according to genetic engineering will be beneficial in this role. Who You Are:

  • You hold a PhD in a relevant field with a strong track record in antibody engineering, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications and patents.
  • You have at least 7 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical research.
  • You possess strong expertise in leading cross-functional project teams to progress biological entities into clinical development.
  • You have extensive experience in antibody discovery and engineering, including bi- and multispecific antibodies and Fc engineering.
  • You demonstrate expertise in cytokine biology and engineering, as well as assay development for immuno-oncology and immunology.
  • You are familiar with functional screening of bi- and multispecific antibodies and single domain antibodies.
  • You have strong networking skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in managing outsourcing projects and familiarity with laws and regulations according to GenTG is a plus.
