Job Title: Global Head of Data & AI Product Portfolio

About the Product Pillar at Merck Data & AI Organization: The Product Pillar is integral to our Group Data & AI Strategy, driving impact across our internal Data & AI ecosystem. This pillar is dedicated to the development and management of a robust product portfolio that enhances decision-making, operational efficiency, and fosters innovation throughout the company. As a product leader, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of our ecosystem products, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and the incorporation of cutting-edge data and AI technologies.

This role spans the entire Data & AI product portfolio, encompassing platform products, data products, and analytics & AI products across all sectors. Platform products are primarily managed centrally to maintain coherence and scalability, while data products and analytics & AI products are generally implemented through a federated approach to promote agility and responsiveness to specific business sector needs.

Your Role:

• Define and articulate a compelling vision for our Data, Analytics & AI Product Portfolio, aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Manage and enhance vendor relationships, ensuring seamless integration and value enhancement within the ecosystem.
• Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business units, and external partners, aligning interests and ensuring ecosystem effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap, setting clear objectives that balance innovation and practical application.
• Oversee the ecosystem's entire lifecycle and budget, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement and monitoring performance against (business) value metrics.
• Establish cost and impact transparency for all products company-wide, including platform, data, analytics, and AI products.
• Lead and empower a team of product and portfolio leaders including Architecture, Excellence and Financial Management

Who You Are:

• A servant leader with substantial product, portfolio and agile working experience.
• Strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing product roadmaps and setting objectives that meet sector-specific needs.
• Experienced in leading complex, multi-vendor ecosystems, with a background in data & analytics and AI technologies.
• Adept in stakeholder management, with a talent for aligning diverse interests and driving strategic direction.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Holder of a Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Reporting Structure and Team Interaction: 

• You will report directly to Chief Data & AI Officer
• Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and business units, to deliver a user-centric ecosystem
