Your Role

As Postdoc Computational Oncology in the Research Unit Oncology, you will join a team of highly motivated scientists dedicated to discovering the cancer drugs of tomorrow. You will analyze functional genomics screens combined with multi-modal patient-derived data to generate novel drug target hypotheses. You will draw from your deep understanding of the underlying biology (tumor biology and/or tumor immunology), expertise in data analysis methods and robust coding skills. Operating at the intersection of biology and data science, you will generate insights from complex datasets for scientists without coding skills and contribute to the digital literacy within your department. You will interact closely with the R&D bioinformaticians and work in cross-functional drug discovery teams as well as external collaborations.

The position is limited to 2 years.

 

Who you are

  • PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Medicine, Bioinformatics or related discipline
  • Thorough understanding of oncology in at least one of the following areas: cancer cell signaling, antibody drug conjugates and/or tumor immunology
  • Extensive hands-on programming experience for biological data analysis (R or Python) including maintenance of code quality and documentation (e.g. Git)
  • Hands-on experience analyzing and interpreting data from CRISPR screens and ideally DNA-seq data
  • Expertise in NGS data processing is a plus
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Excellent team player, eager to work in multidisciplinary teams
