Your role:

Gain insight into the work of a leading internal consultancy! You will support the Inhouse Consulting Team in challenging projects across all businesses and functions within the company up to our purpose of talent development and business consulting. You will work in a diverse, young, and innovative environment, contribute your own ideas and get to know the daily life at Inhouse Consulting. We trust you with responsibility early on and support you to draw your own career map that is responsive to your aspirations and priorities in life.

 

Who you are:

  • Maximum one or two years of full-time work experience (early career stage)
  • Enrolled student in an advanced Bachelor's (minimum 3rd semester), Master's, or Ph.D. program in natural science, engineering, or business, with a grade average in the top 10% of your cohort or equivalent
  • At least one completed internship or professional experience (minimum 3 months, full-time equivalent) in business, consulting, or natural science, complementing the degree above — ideally combining both a science and business background
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, evidenced through prior project work, coursework, or professional experience involving data analysis, quantitative modeling, or structured problem-solving
  • Demonstrated self-initiative and reliability, evidenced through prior project responsibility (e.g. leading a work stream, thesis, or comparable independent project)
  • Practical experience applying Data & AI tools or methods to solve a business or research problem (e.g. through a project, internship, or coursework) is an additional, differentiating qualification — not required, but will be considered favorably in the selection process
  • Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills, evidenced through group project work, presentations, or team-based professional experience
  • Proven ability to work proactively and self-directed on assigned tasks, evidenced through prior academic or professional experience
  • Verified proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint at an advanced level, demonstrable through prior coursework, project work, or professional use (e.g. building financial models, pivot tables, or structured presentations)
  • English proficiency at CEFR level C1 or above (written and spoken) — required
  • German proficiency at CEFR level B1 or above — preferred, not required

 

Please note:

  • Duration: 3 months, with a start date on the 1st of January, February, March, April, May, or June 2027.
  • You must be an enrolled student for the entire duration of your internship
  • You must have a valid German work permit for the entire duration of the internship (independent from your current employer)
  • You must be able to be on-site in Darmstadt throughout the period of your internship
