Your role:
Our Site Management Analytics team is seeking a Bench Scientist with pronounced knowledge and a proven track record in the development of proteomics applications as well as the analysis of mass spectrometry-based proteomic datasets. As an internal service provider, Site Management Analytics offers manifold state of the art technologies to support R&D projects within the company. This position requires an individual with outstanding scientific experience as well as excellent communication and collaborative skills. You must be able to work on multiple projects, within dynamic interdisciplinary teams of chemists, biochemists, biologists and informaticians. In this role, you will design and implement new proteomics applications and computational methods for the analysis of mass spectrometry-based proteomic datasets. You will also be working closely with researchers in our Healthcare departments to assist them with selection of appropriate methods, use of databases and interpretation of data. Additionally, you will also collaborate with researchers providing proteomics analysis services including presentation of results.
Who you are:
- Ph.D. in Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Data Science, or a related field, OR a B.S. / M.S. degree coupled with 8-10 years of hands-on experience in the field of proteomics.
- Profound expertise and hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS methodologies (Bruker TimsToF or Thermo Orbitraps) including data analysis of large Proteomics datasets
- Profound knowledge in proteomics bioinformatics, search algorithms, and data processing workflows (e.g. PEAKS Studio, MaxQuant, Perseus, DIA-NN).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English, German would be desirable)
