Your role:

You’ll help advance next-generation materials for the semiconductor industry by turning process and product data into reliable, timely decisions. Working close to manufacturing processes, you’ll identify critical parameters, sources of variation, and potential impacts on yield, quality, and reliability. You’ll build trusted data pipelines and automated analyses that help teams investigate issues, assess deviations, and understand true process performance. Using statistical methods, you’ll model complex datasets, monitor process and product performance, and turn findings into clear, decision-ready insights. You’ll investigate abnormal events and support rigorous risk reviews, effective corrective and preventive actions, and changes that protect customers. In partnership with Operations, QC, Engineering, Facilities, and colleagues across sites, you’ll strengthen a proactive quality culture and help prevent quality issues before they reach customers. You’ll develop AI-enabled and agentic applications that make reliable insights easier to access and support self-service. You’ll also lead cross-site capability building and continuous improvement, with travel to global manufacturing sites and, as needed, customer locations.

Who you are:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • You bring at least five years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process or control engineering, analytical chemistry, and/or semiconductor fabrication.

  • You have advanced statistical expertise, including SPC, t-tests, ANOVA, and univariate or multivariate statistical modeling.

  • You speak German proficiently and communicate excellently in written and spoken English.

  • You bring a strong safety- and quality-focused approach to process control, variation reduction, and customer protection.

  • You have experience with process improvement, data automation or digitization, and statistical or data-science tools such as JMP, Palantir Foundry, Tableau, Python, or JSL.

  • You are familiar with quality and problem-solving methods such as 5 Whys, FMEAs, CAPA, management of change, document control, and continuous improvement; semiconductor or fab process engineering experience is an advantage.

  • You communicate clearly, build stakeholder alignment, and stay organized and resilient while advancing multiple projects through ambiguity; willingness to travel and additional language skills are welcome.
