Strategic Marketing Manager – Small Molecules: Complex APIs (all genders)

 

 

Location: US or EU (Darmstadt / Schaffhausen)

 

Your Role:

We are seeking a talented Strategic Marketing Manager, who will take on the strategic marketing management for our Small Molecule CDMO Service offering. In this role you will:

  • Develop the marketing plan and establish the corresponding tactics to position and grow our small molecule in our target markets.
  • Conduct, with the support of the Strategy and Commercial teams, assessments on the target market to identify growth opportunities and threats, such as voice of customer and competitor analysis.
  • Lead marketing campaigns in cooperation with the Marcom organization, across various channels, covering traditional advertising, social media, e-mail automation and also expanding each time more in digital capabilities. With the same teams, collaborate to evaluate KPIs and derive tactical improvements.
  • Track and report on industry trends, driving long term offering expansions and investments, e.g. Strategy Development activities.
  • Drive business cases for CAPEX investments
  • Co-drive innovation together with the R&D teams, supporting business cases and market rationale behind the multiple projects.
  • Establish and maintain a strong collaboration network with internal stakeholders, as well as external partners and key opinion leaders.

 

Who you are:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in related fields e.g. Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering; additional degree in Business Administration, MBA preferred
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in strategic marketing within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with a focus on CDMO activities.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Experience working with international clients essential, ability to negotiate in English, willingness for international travel up to 30%
  • Personal strengths include communication and presentation skills
  • You should be assertive, well organized, solution driven and have strong decision-making skills
  • Experience using professional IT tools required (e.g. MS Office; SAP)
