Are you an out-of-the-box thinker with a get-things-done mentality who excels in developing creative messages? We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Working Student (all genders) in the Group Science & Technology Office, which is at the forefront of innovation at Merck. You will be part of a global team that develops the ideas and products of tomorrow in collaboration with the company’s business sectors.

 

Your role

You will primarily focus on supporting content creation for various channels, particularly LinkedIn, as well as external webpages and customer materials. Your content will reach and engage thousands of curious minds around the world.

 

In addition to researching and crafting compelling texts and contents, you will support event management initiatives, contributing to the successful execution of various events. You have a passion for storytelling and creative ideas for new formats (including video and audio) to convey messages effectively. With a natural talent for understanding and writing about a variety of scientific and technological topics, you can adapt your content to resonate with diverse audiences. We are looking for a versatile individual who can support a variety of tasks and play an active role in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of each activity, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

 

Your qualifications:

 

  • Studying Communications, PR, Journalism or a related field
  • Excellent writing skills. You excel in writing posts, articles and texts and adapting messages to different audiences
  • First experience in MarCom, high affinity for social media and digital channels
  • You are very fluent in English (minimum C1) German is a plus
  • Familiarity with digital and AI tools. Willingness to explore, test and use new digital tools and applications is a must.
  • Experience in event management, CMS or video editing
  • Proactive, highly motivated, structured, committed and reliable

 

Duration: 6-12 months, starting March 2026
