Vice President Global Launch Lead Pimicotinib

 

Your role:

You will lead global launch readiness activities for pimicotinib, a phase 3 asset developed for Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor (TGCT). You will build the Global Launch Team, drive the development and positioning of the brand and develop a global cross-functional launch plan that includes among others HCP engagement and patient activation strategies. You will partner with R&D and Medical Affairs to develop a data generation strategy in line with the brand positioning and launch strategic imperatives. You will closely collaborate with our Global strategic insights team to conduct market research, monitor competition and update commercial forecasts, as well as with Global Market access to develop the pricing strategy and policy of the brand. You will interact with company’s executive leadership and drive launch investments requests and will also be a key member of the Leadership team of the Global Oncology franchise and you will contribute to growing our global oncology business.

You are a strategic thinker, a visionary person who knows how to translate strategy and vision into operational success, able to lead and motivate a broad cross-functional team in stressful times. You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey ideas and influence across multiple cultures and organizational levels. You are a natural leader with the standing to be the voice of pimicotinib, and more generally of oncology at Merck. You are a proven team player, an active listener and able to find compromise. You are a strong communicator with a proven ability to simplify and drive impact. You are passionate about what you do and you drive forward with a strong sense of ownership.

You have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in a scientific discipline or business administration is a minimum; Advanced Degree (e.g. M.S., Ph.D., MBA, MD) is preferred
  • Minimum 12+ years of pharmaceutical industry and other related healthcare experience, including in Oncology
  • Deep understanding and experience of launch readiness (with a least one experience of launching successfully a new drug in oncology in the US), brand development and commercialization process​; experience of orphan diseases is preferred
  • Broad understanding of end-to-end drug development, including multi-faceted Life-cycle management and data generation activities
  • Demonstrated success in complex stakeholder management
  • Fully fluent in English
