The Role:
In this role you will be responsible for leading a team that is responsible for the provision of our Patient Support Programmes and Medical Information Services, which are critical to ensure patients and healthcare professionals have the information and support they need to ensure the best possible experience. Our services ensure HCPs have up to date information to educate and inform clinical practice relating to our medicines and that patients have the best possible education, support and experience our medicines, during their treatment journey.
The role has 2 distinct parts, which have clearly defined objectives:
Patient Support Programmes - Responsible for ensuring our internal and vendor compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and laws as well as providing expertise on drug safety and medical topics. Develops medical product information and stays informed on scientific trends and competition. Maintains relationships with target opinion leaders and trains local teams in medical topics.
Medical Information Service – Responsible for leading the Medical Information team and it’s members, ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with in line with company operating procedures and achieve KPIs; Service maintains and delivers high standards and performance audited regularly
Who you are:
- Scientific expert with clinical training in an area of relevance to position (Neurology or Endocrinology). University degree (Bachelor’s) in scientific subject required.
- Experienced in managing Patient Services or Medical Information or Pharmacovigilance.
- Self-motivated, self-confident, strong communication & presentation skills; good conflict resolution skills.
- A strong people manager. You have the ability to influence and lead others and to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, standards, policies & SOPs.
- Manage performance of services with KPI tracking and active team and vendor management checks; monitor KPIs and budgets.
- Skilled at managing communication between us and homecare companies where the interests of patient care are affected.
- A team player that can provide strategic input to the Medical Leadership team and Franchise Teams to share best practices and align services with corporate business needs.
