Your role:
We are seeking a Scientific Sales Specialist to join our team covering the Northern region (UK, Ireland, Nordics). This role focuses on driving sales growth and market penetration of our Production Materials portfolio, targeting key customer segments including Pharma, Biotech, and CMOs.
The Scientific Sales Specialist will collaborate closely with the commercial organization to implement workflow-based selling strategies, support tactical marketing initiatives, and engage directly with customers to deliver scientific value and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the scientific sales expert for Production Materials in the assigned region, with deep engagement in Pharma/CMO/Biotech segments.
- Drive execution of application-based workflow selling and “Follow the Money” campaigns to deliver against regional sales targets.
- Collaborate closely with Account Managers to ensure aligned and effective customer engagement.
- Work with Segment Marketing, Technology Management, and Business Franchise teams to support tactical and strategic initiatives, including new product introductions (NPIs).
- Proactively identify and develop new opportunities in the territory, leveraging technical expertise and consultative selling.
- Build strong customer relationships with technical influencers and decision-makers to drive loyalty and business expansion.
- Manage and maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline using CRM and structured planning tools.
Who you are:
- Degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field or a business degree and relevant Scientific Sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience in technical scientific sales, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing space.
- Strong understanding of production workflows and regulatory standards (e.g., GMP).
- Flexibility to travel across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics as required, with an estimated frequency of around 35%, subject to business needs.
