Your role:

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an Equipment Validation Engineer to join the team within the Glasgow site. Main duties will include providing validation support to operational departments per schedules and work requests of controlled temperature chambers, testing of various other equipment and environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of Work Requests, Asset records and Schedules.
  • Working to local and global validation procedures.
  • Support site and departmental projects where required.
  • Liaise with other support departments such as stores, TAR, ES, Facilities and lab operational departments.
  • Mapping/qualification a range of equipment including fridges, freezers, incubators and balances.
  • Working alongside vendors with more complex equipment and completion of CSV qualification work.
  • Working within a GMP/GLP contract pharmaceutical test environment.
  • Ensuring data integrity of equipment & systems and working towards 21CFR part 11/Annex 11 compliance.

 

Who you are:

  • 2+ years' equipment validation experience from either a GMP/GLP or medical device background and willing to learn new skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in a variety of applicable regulations to pharmaceutical testing such as (GMP/GLP) and CSV (Part 11/Annex 11/DI/GAMP5).
  • Able to work independently but also be able to work as a team member on projects.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PP training provided for Merck IT QA and CMMS systems).
  • Preferably educated in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
