Your Role:

 

The Senior Technical Business Development (SBD) Specialist is responsible for driving business growth within their territory by providing customers with solutions to complex testing requirements. The Senior SBD Specialist drives value by leveraging their expertise in viral clearance, biological safety testing, and product characterization. Acting as the field-based scientific voice of customer, the position holder identifies emerging technology trends, customer requirements and innovation opportunities that can be used to develop the business strategy.

 

This position offers the flexibility to be located remotely within Europe.

 

Who You Are:

 

  • Ph.D. in a Life Sciences relevant scientific field. Alternatively, B.Sc. in a Life Sciences relevant scientific field, plus equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biologics and/or medical device environment is required. Experience within a regulated GMP environment.
  • Extensive client-facing experience with a demonstrated ability to influence teams and individuals is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: effective at communicating with clients and establishing strong working relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English; an additional European language would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites within Europe, up to 30% of time. Some international travel might be required for this position. Ability to work overtime or flexible hours on occasion to meet business requirements.
