We have a fantastic opportunity for students to join our Contract Testing Services business in the UK for 3 months over the summer from June 2nd, 2025 until August 29th, 2025. Students will collaborate with teams across various parts of the business, gaining meaningful industry experience. Summer students will get the opportunity to undertake various tasks whilst collaborating with our colleagues across our departments. The students will be able to learn on the job, developing practical skills and personal competencies, building relationships with colleagues across our business.

 

Your Role 

Quality is the foundation of our business and the Archivist will be primarily responsible for the archiving of BioReliance data in accordance with local procedures and regulations. Additionally, the Archivist role will help support the filing of global quality agreement and the maintenance of the tracker. The role involves the archive of documents required to support the operational and compliance activities of BioReliance.   

 

Key Responsibilities

The operational activities will include (but are not limited to) 

  • Perform their duties according to the principles of GLP and GMP.
  • Perform archiving activities, including documents verification and checks.
  • Responsible for controlling the companies archive activities to ensure archive requests are completed to appropriate SOP standard.
  • Responsible for maintaining the systems (electronic and paper based) to ensure that all data sent to archive is logged appropriately in order to ensure that these can be recalled from archive as and when required.
  • Principle contact for off-site external archive provider, ensuring that the company requests for return of archived data is coordinated efficiently and in compliance with the relevant SOP.
  • Responsible for ensuring that any documents returned from the external archive are returned within the timescale stipulated in the BioReliance SOP and highlight any exceptions.
  • Provide general support for the Archive function, within the company.
  • Assisting in the upload of the essential quality document, "Quality Agreement," to our Study Management Database while ensuring that our global tracker is updated with relevant specific details.
  • The role will allow exposure to the routine activities of ensuring compliance to GMP within a QA Department.

 

The primary site would be based at our Glasgow site but there would be opportunity to visit our other sites in Stirling and Edinburgh.

 

Who You Are

  • Degree/MSc Student, or recent graduate in relevant subject looking for work experience
  • Good communicator, dealing directly and effectively with operational teams and QA colleagues routinely.
  • Ideally experience of use of an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Organised and logical in defining workload and delivering projects.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Data Entry.
