Your Role: 

 

We are looking for an energetic, customer oriented and technically skilled Automation and Robotics Expert to join our EMEA commercial team and lead our expansion in microbiology applications within the pharmaceutical sector. This key position demands a combination of customer centricity, technical knowledge, business insight, troubleshooting expertise and a strong mindset for achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire sales and application process for our Rapid, Automation and Robotics Solutions guiding customers from the pre-sales phase to post-sales support, ensuring a smooth customer experience and promoting business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Sales Cycle Management: You manage the entire sales cycle for automation and robotics solutions in microbiology, from initial customer engagement through to closing and post-sales support working hand in hand with the relevant commercial internal stakeholders.
  • Customer Engagement: You develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry, including decision-makers, influencers, and end-users.
  • Technical Expertise: You provide in-depth technical support and consultation to customers, demonstrating the value of our products with a thorough understanding of microbiology applications, automation and robotics solutions.
  • Business Development: You define and pursue new business cases within the region, leveraging market knowledge and industry connections to expand our customer base.
  • Solution Customization: You work closely with customers to understand their specific needs and tailor solutions to meet those requirements, supporting ROI finetuning, driving feasibility studies and ensuring optimal satisfaction and performance.
  • Deepen Market Knowledge: You gather and report information on trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth, providing strategic insights to the sales and marketing organizations.
  • Collaboration: You collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, R&D, product management , commercial excellence and marketing, to ensure alignment and support for business development activities.
  • Presentations and Demonstrations: You conduct compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our automation and robotics solutions.
  • Post-Sales Support: You support implementation and ensure customer success by providing ongoing technical support, training, and troubleshooting assistance .
  • Reporting and Documentation: You maintain accurate records of sales activities, interactions, and pipeline status. Prepare accurate forecasts and regular reports and for senior leadership on business development progress and challenges.

 

Who you are:

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in sales within the life Sciences industry, preferably related to automation/robotics or microbiology applications. Experienced in managing high value complex sales. Former experience in technical support with automation/robotic equipment is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Solid understanding of microbiology and/or automation and robotics technologies used in pharmaceutical QC applications.
  • Business Acumen: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Ability to develop and execute strategic business and account plans. Experience with risk assessment and ROI.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience. Fluent in English, other  languages are a plus.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, propose innovative solutions, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 80% of time within the region as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
  • Fluency in English required.
