Your role:
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our team in Belgium. As a Market HR Business Partner, you will work in a cluster set-up as one team and support all employees mainly in Belgium but also potentially deputing in the Western Europe Cluster using the existing solutions portfolio and frameworks. You will have a brought range on HR activities to work in, including payroll coordination with our external payroll provider, onboarding & offboarding, compensation & benefits, point of contact for workers council, labor relations in alignment with the responsible solution owners and according to our local Mandate. You will translate local and market requirements into operational plans reflecting local labor regulations and implementing the strategies locally by partnering with Sector Business Partners & Market HR leadership.
As a first point of contact you will collaborate with line managers and provide enablement on our HR Portfolio Solutions to help shape the desired talent and performance in the various legal entities and drive the vital changes. Your aim is to ensure that employee & manager experience is accurately addressed and continuously improved through the adoption of technology as well as through advising and enablement offerings. Via this you will support the business strategies by proactively addressing the people dimension on a local level.
You are also responsible to ensure internal controls are in place for HR scope in Belgium and you coordinate audit requirements in relation to HR requests in relation to finance / accounting organizations. You are responsible for the proper management of the HR vendors i.e. vendor creation, PO management and invoice management.
Who you are:
- You have a demonstrable track record of working and communicating successfully in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment in HR
- you have a proven level of knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, methods, and programs & also experience and understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws, regulations, procedures, and standards
- You are able to work cross functionally to drive sourcing and talent acquisition strategies in partnership with the Talent Solutions Partners
- You are experienced in leading employee relations, work unions relations
- Asking the right questions to capture knowledge about a situation and questions assumptions through data-driven advice is in your DNA
- You are able to develop a harmonious environment built on trust and mutual respect
- Team-orientation, collaboration and standard process sharing is in your genes
- You are used to manage all administrative work which is connected to the HR task by yourself (e.g. payroll, support audit requirements, contract set-up, invoice management, purchase order creation etc.).
