JOB PURPOSE:
       We are currently seeking a Senior Research Chemist for our Planarization Research and Development department. You will be involved in contributing to the development of advanced CMP Polishing Slurries that are used in the production of cutting-edge semiconductor devices.

 

YOUR ROLE:

  • Conducting research and development of CMP slurry formulations.
  • Collaborating with lab chemists to design and execute experiments, evaluating slurry performance on wafer surfaces.
  • Advancing fundamental research to understand the relationship between particles, additives, and surface properties during the polishing process.
  • Collaborating with applications, marketing, and commercial teams to develop high-value-added products for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and presenting data using rigorous data analysis techniques and modern visualization methods.
  • Participating in external meetings to promote slurry design, present results, and discuss continuous improvement plans.
  • Documenting and presenting research results, as well as filing patents for intellectual property development.

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 3 years of experience in CMP formulation or formulation research or a related field.
  • Proficiency in formulations, surfactants, polymers, colloidal chemistry, and electrochemistry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English.
  • Experience in customer engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to contribute to a diverse team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with wet chemistry and the ability to provide coaching.
  • Knowledge of statistical design of experiments and statistical software.
  • A strong technical background in the semiconductor industry.
