Job Purpose:      

The Senior Quality Engineer (QE) will be part of the Quality Assurance group at the Hsinchu, Taiwan site. The QE will provide day to day Quality Engineering support for a fast-paced semiconductor materials manufacturing operation conducted at outsourced Toll manufacturing sites located in Taiwan, Japan and China.

 

 

Your Role:

·           Oversight of portions of the Toll manufacturers Quality Management System processes that effect the manufacturing of our products at their site.

·           Coordinate Management Of Change process

·           Complete and coordinate customer surveys, questionnaires and quality data inquiries including custom customer reports.

·           Coordinate and prepare for customer audits of Toll manufacturers by customers.

·           Complete Corrective and Preventive action reports and coordinate resolution to meet customer’s expectations.

·           Attend customer meetings to support customer process issues and resolution.

·           Provide technical support and direction to complaint investigators for customer quality issues. Support task forces for critical customer quality issues.

·           Develop and support data and communication for Process Change Notification to local customers.

·           Prepare quality data package and present or support sales for new business opportunities.

·           Generate reports, charts for management, charts for Quality Stand-downs and audits, and for customer inquiries.

·           Take direction and implement improvements for quality performance proactive initiatives.

·           Support metrics and quality programs that enhance customer satisfaction to support Semiconductor Materials business development.

·           Work closely with cross functional teams globally to achieve business and quality targets.

·           Lead predictive techniques/ advanced data science analytics to identify control points and ensure quality before product manufacturing.

·           Evaluate deviations / OOS OOC conditions and provide guidance for the disposition of non-conforming product.

·           Lead root cause investigations for customer complaints and quality investigations using model-based problem-solving techniques. 

·           Provide SPC/SQC data support and customized trend charts to assess and monitor product/process performance. Prepare SQC Charts/CpK reports and calculate specifications/control limits for both internal and customer requirements.

·           Disposition Discrepant material when necessary.

 

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

•   5+ years of quality, manufacturing, or technical work experience.

•   Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or other technical discipline.

•   Supplier quality experience is preferred

•   Experience in wafer manufacturing, chemical factory

•   Strong hands-on knowledge of statistical process control (SPC/SQC), root cause analysis and corrective action (CAPA), problem solving, FMEAs, Design of Experiment (DoE), continuous improvement (CI) activities, management of change, and document control systems.

•   Fluent in English

•   Ability to work independtly and multi-tasking

 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Good at MS office such as excel, power point, and so on
•    Hands-on experience with process improvement, data automation, and data digitization.
•    Strong Data analysis and data preparation automation knowledge with background in programming. (Python, Java script, SQL, Alteryx/DataIku, Tableau)
•    Proficient with statistical software including Minitab, JMP, NWA.
•    SAP experience.
•    ISO Certification and experience managing supplier quality.
