Your role:

The Site Director leads all aspects of manufacturing operations with full responsibility for delivering quality products and outstanding experiences to our customers. The position is responsible for ensuring the site’s compliance, safety, and quality excellence. Additionally, the individual in the role promotes a culture of continuous improvement at both the site level and across the supply chain operations network through best practice sharing, collaboration, and setting/meeting of high standards.

  • Ensures operational Environmental, Health and Safety compliance and accountability.
  • Assures compliance with applicable regulations and laws, corporate sustainability objectives, and emergency preparedness.
  • Champions and leads the team towards a zero-accident standard.
  • Ensures quality and regulatory compliance to all applicable standards: ISO9001:2015 and EXCiPACT GMP standard to Pharmaceutical Auxiliary Materials (PAMs)
  • Drives continuous improvement in the quality plan using appropriate methodologies (e.g., Lean Sigma, PPU, CQI).
  • Provides leadership, strategic vision, and tactical execution in support of key business objectives for the manufacturing site.
  • Drives customer focus through prompt complaint resolution, CAPA and process yield improvements.
  • Ensures appropriate supply chain performance through responsiveness, delivery performance, capacity management, supplier management and appropriate inventory management.
  • Drives sustainable improvements in plant COGS performance through application of Lean & Six Sigma to deliver yield improvement and plant productivity (incl. OEE).
  • Partners with the global business teams to ensure strong alignment of plant goals, metrics, and targets with the business/division targets.
  • Defines and supports a positive, team-oriented environment via diversity and inclusion programs, talent development and succession planning processes, communication programs, training and team building activities.
  • Attract, develop, motivate and retain skilled talent and maintain staffing levels and organizational structure to meet business objectives.
  • Partners with state representatives, local authorities, and charity organizations to build collaborative relationships which benefit the wider community.

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations management, Supply Chain Management, Science, Engineering, or related/equivalent field.
  • Master’s degree in the mentioned fields would be an advantage.
  • 10+ years’ experience within Plant Management, Supply Chain, Operations or relevant strategic function.  
  • Track record in progressive leadership roles leading multifunctional teams.
  • Demonstrated change management; ability to define, establish, and complete a strategic and cultural vision by inspiring change across multifunctional teams and the broader organization Black or Green belt or other operational excellence certification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead attainment of bold objectives for EHS, Quality, Service and Cost.
  • Experienced knowledge and application in production management, lean manufacturing, and materials control.
  • Experienced in Lean manufacturing methodologies in driving value stream improvement.
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, financial competence, ability to make decisions in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills and experience in diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Provides business leadership to manage the site budgeting and planning processes to ensure that customer, financial, and operational objectives are met.
  • Champions organizational change initiatives to continuously set a higher standard on performance.
  • Provides senior executive management and other company functional leaders with information that is accurate and timely to permit them to anticipate problems, recognize opportunities, and ensure effective decisions and actions.
  • Assures clear, effective, and timely communications from the site.
  • Strong cross-functional communication abilities across both Operations and Business communities, as well as customers.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, aim to succeed, motivator of people.
  • Lead organizational change and adoption of new processes, tools, and systems through focused adherence to standardized approaches.
  • Strong business intuition, proven skills in structured problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Strong customer (internal and external) and supplier facing presentation abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
