Thin Films Production Team Leader Job Duties

Production Team Leader will be accountable for individual production process safety, as well as production relevant regulatory environmental and health compliance, while overseeing daily operations of the production plant from incoming materials to outgoing products. The Production Team Leader will develop and maintain processes and resources to maximize process safety, quality, and productivity.

 

Your Role-

Environment, Health, Safety

The Production Team Leader is accountable for individual production related environmental, health and safety aspects.

  • Zero EHS incidents and continuous improvement on all safety and EHS matters. All EHS risks are correctly identified, evaluated, and corrected.
  • Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among team members.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or safety incidents.

 

Quality and compliance

The Production Team Leader is accountable for achieving high quality performance in production and packaging to customers. Production Team Leader will partner with the Quality Team to achieve:

  • A culture and expectation of zero quality defects. All production related quality issues are correctly identified, evaluated, and corrected.
  • Well trained, data focused employees who prioritize continuous improvement on all production related quality matters.
  • A quality management system (QMS) aligned to the needs and expectations of semiconductor materials production and handling. All manufacturing activities are carried out in line with ISO9001, documented and approved procedures and processes, and meeting customer specifications. Audits and inspections from customer and regulatory bodies are well supported and receive timely closure.
  • Monitor and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet specified standards.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to production processes, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.

 

Production and Supply Reliability

Production Team Leader partners with the Supply Chain Planning, and other production team to:

  • Ensure all team members follow our principles to prioritize safety and quality above all.
  • Oversee inventory levels and collaborate with the supply chain to ensure materials are available for production.
  • Collaborate with production planning and scheduling teams to ensure timely and efficient production runs, in-full (OTIF) target.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and stockouts.
  • Collaborate with other departments to implement changes and enhancements to optimize production processes.

 

Scope of People Responsibility

  • Sets example by leading with priority of safety, quality, and operational disciplines.
  • Implements HR policies and procedures that are consistent with corporate guidance, local regulations.
  • Promotes positive employee engagement by fostering two-way communication and by resolving employee issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide ongoing training to existing team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

 

Who you are-

 

Education:                                                          

  • Master’s degree or above in Engineering, Chemistry or Material Science preferred.

Working Experience:

  • Requires proven professional experience (min. 7 years as a guide) including substantial people management experience – min. 5 years’ experience in manufacturing plant.

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

  • Candidates who has chemical manufacturing background and knowledge of semiconductor industry standards and quality expectations. Experience of hazard chemical handling is a plus.
  • Good leadership characteristics. Ability to attract, motivate and retain talent. Demonstrated the ability to deliver strong team building, and people management skills.
  • High energy, creative, passionate, and self-motivated, someone who has a strong desire to succeed.
  • Communicates openly and transparently, not afraid of delivering bad news or ensuring operational discipline is maintained.
  • Familiarity with production planning and scheduling.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both native language and business English.
