Your Role
As a Senior Production Process Engineer, the candidate will provide operational technical support for the development, safety assessment, construction, and operation of a new product manufacturing technology. The successful candidate will be the technical expert from Operations into the project and will lead the Operations related activities during project commissioning and startup. After project closure the Senior Production Process Engineer would lead the Operations staff as the expert on the process operation helping to train the team, provide troubleshooting, and drive process continuous improvement as a key member of the Operations site team.
To succeed in this role the candidate will collaborate with personnel from technology, engineering, and operations to move the technology from small scale concepts to large-scale operation reality. The Senior Production Process Engineer will ensure the large-scale plant has features and designs to ensure long term safety and operability, paying special attention to human factors for the operating team. The candidate will support the technology transfer into the large-scale site, and actively mentor and train less experienced operation resources. It is also a key deliverable to ensure consistency in evaluation and implementation of best operation practices and input from subject matter experts as necessary. International travel will be required to learn the technology, participate in potential vendor audits, and release equipment into the construction site
Who You Are
- BS in Chemical Engineering required (higher level degree a plus)
- Combined 10+ years of experience in chemical operations and process design
- Good leadership, organizational, computer and interpersonal skills
- Good communications skills (written and verbal) in English a must.
- Able to work within a matrix team environment and communicate effectively with others.
- Experience and knowledge in the technology transfer from small to large scale
- Experience and knowledge in commissioning & start-up activities for projects.
- A working knowledge and experience of semiconductor specialty chemicals requirements for materials, packaging, products, and processes a plus.
- Formal training and experience with six sigma processes and continuous improvement tools
