Your role: As a Finance Manager, you will oversee the completion of tax and accounting tasks for nine companies in Luxembourg. Your primary responsibilities will involve regularly reviewing accounting practices and financial reporting while addressing a variety of tax-related issues. You will keep senior management informed about work status and progress, ensuring adherence to guidelines and meeting both internal and external deadlines. This role includes reviewing or preparing statutory financial statements in compliance with local GAAP or IFRS, which involves examining annual accounts, tax provisions, tax returns, and submitting withholding tax (WHT) and VAT declarations to the authorities on time. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance for the entities under your scope, supporting local tax reporting related to Pillar 2 reporting, DAC 6, ATAD 1, 2 & 3, CFC, and more. Close collaboration with external service providers, including tax advisors, law firms, and auditors, will be essential to meet compliance and audit requirements. You will serve as the primary contact for internal departments, such as GES and Group Functions, as well as local authorities and external service providers. Supporting the Managing Director in matters not handled by GES, including restructuring projects like mergers or capital transactions, will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will assist in ensuring timely vendor payments through our internal payment system (TRAX) and support the review of legal documents, such as Board of Directors meeting minutes and shareholder resolutions. On a daily basis, you will aid management in approving internal workflows for invoices, investments, loans, hedging, and more, while ensuring effective communication and documentation with all team members and stakeholders.
Who you are:
• You hold a university degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Economics, or any related field.
• You have professional experience (approximately 5 years as a guide) with emphasis on Tax, Accounting and Financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and / or a multinational organization.
• You have strong analytical and organizational skills with a high sense of attention to detail.
• You are very structured, proactive, and have a highly communicative working style.
• You could align yourself in a small team and able to work independently.
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and other team members.
• You can relate well with international colleagues and contribute effectively.
• You demonstrate high level of energy and ability to work under time pressure.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Proficiency in accounting software tool (SAP)
• Fluent in English, basic in German and French Language is an asset
