Data Architect (m/f/d)

Join us to contribute to innovation through data and digital solutions. In Research and Development, the mission to bring more medicines to more patients faster is closely tied to maximizing data usage for improved decision-making through analytics and AI. As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and enhancing our data architecture, flows, structures, and processing systems. Your expertise will be crucial in accelerating the delivery of high-quality data across our organization while serving as the technical lead for comprehensive data-centric solutions. You will collaborate closely with product owners and R&D stakeholders to optimize how we gather, structure, and leverage data. This role will allow you to support a wide range of reporting, analytics, decision support, and (Generative) AI solutions. You will utilize our modern Data & AI ecosystem built on Snowflake, AWS, Informatica, and Oracle technologies, becoming part of a highly skilled expert team. Your contributions will directly enable our mission to accelerate medical breakthroughs through intelligent data utilization.

Who you are:

  • You hold a Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • You have over 2-3 years of experience as a data warehouse expert, lead data engineer, data architect, or data product owner.
  • You possess experience in designing complex data models and data flow architectures.You have guided data engineers in implementing scalable, reliable, and efficient data flows.You are familiar with data & analytics solutions such as Snowflake, AWS (especially Glue, Lambda, DMS), Oracle, and Informatica (PowerCenter and IICS); experience with Azure Dev Ops and warehouse automation tools is a plus.
  • You have a strong knowledge of SQL, with familiarity in Python (particularly pandas and PySpark) being advantageous.
  • You possess excellent English communication skills, enabling effective interaction with R&D scientists and software engineers.
  • You thrive in virtual and agile team environments.
