Your role: Join us in our mission to drive innovation through data and digital transformation. As a Senior Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our data architecture and flows, enabling us to deliver medicines to patients more efficiently. You will design, implement, and optimize data-centric solutions that leverage AI and analytics, directly impacting decision-making processes within R&D. Collaborating closely with product owners and R&D stakeholders, you will ensure our data is structured and accessible for a variety of reporting and analytics needs. Your expertise will guide the data engineering team in creating scalable and reliable data flows, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as AWS, Informatica, Oracle, and Snowflake. You will take ownership of the technical design and implementation of data solutions, translating complex requirements into efficient designs. This is an opportunity to work within a dynamic, international team and influence the future of data-driven solutions in healthcare R&D. Your contributions will not only enhance our data ecosystem but also improve the overall quality of our data for innovative outcomes.

 

Who you are:

  • You hold a Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • You have over 6 years of experience as a data warehouse expert, lead data engineer, data architect, or data product owner.
  • You possess strong skills in designing complex data models and data flow architectures.
  • You have experience guiding data engineers in implementing efficient and scalable data flows.
  • You are proficient in data and analytics solutions, particularly AWS (Glue, Lambda, DMS), Oracle, Informatica, and Snowflake.
  • You have strong SQL knowledge, with familiarity in Python (pandas and PySpark) being a plus.
  • You demonstrate excellent English communication skills, effectively engaging with both R&D scientists and software engineers.
  • You have experience working in virtual and agile teams, ideally within the healthcare R&D sector.
