Your Role: Join us in driving innovation through data and digital transformation within our R&D department. As a Senior R&D Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing our data's potential to enhance decision-making processes through advanced analytics and AI. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and refine our data architecture, ensuring that our data is well-structured, easily findable, and readily accessible. You will create data models and flows that adhere to essential R&D data standards such as HL7 FHIR, facilitating improved interoperability and streamlining regulatory, quality, and safety processes. Additionally, you will serve as the technical lead for data-centric solutions, collaborating with product owners and R&D stakeholders to optimize our data gathering and structuring methods. Your contributions will enable a diverse array of reporting, analytics, and AI solutions that support our mission to deliver more medicines to patients faster. You will have the opportunity to work with a modern Data & AI ecosystem that leverages AWS, Informatica, Oracle, and Snowflake technologies. By joining our team of experts, you will help shape the future of data solutions and ensure their successful implementation across our global teams. Your leadership will be crucial in translating requirements into efficient designs and collaborating with our data engineering team to bring those designs to life.

 

Who You Are:

  • You hold a Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • You have over 6 years of experience as a data warehouse expert, lead data engineer, data architect, or data product owner.
  • You possess a strong background in designing complex data models and architectures, guiding data engineers in implementing scalable and efficient data flows.
  • You have experience in Healthcare R&D and are familiar with data standards and frameworks like HL7 FHIR and SPOR.
  • You are skilled in data & analytics solutions, particularly with AWS (Glue, Lambda, DMS), Oracle, Informatica (PowerCenter and IICS), and Snowflake; experience with Azure DevOps and warehouse automation tools is a plus.
  • You have strong SQL knowledge, with additional skills in Python (especially pandas and PySpark) being advantageous.
  • You demonstrate a strong drive to conceptualize data flows from ingestion to modeling and solution delivery.
  • You possess excellent English communication skills, enabling you to effectively engage with both R&D scientists and software engineers.
