An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our company as Patent Counsel based at our site in Molsheim, France.

 

Your role:

 

As a member of our Patents Life Science team you will interact with our R&D, business, legal and patent teams worldwide advising on IP matters identifying opportunities, risks and solutions in support of the company’s business objectives – requiring a strong business orientation and solid understanding of our technologies including for example products in food and beverage pathogen testing such as the Assurance® GDS system, or for pyrogen testing such as the PyroMATTM system, or granulated and ready-to-use culture media.

 

You will play an active role in managing our company’s IP portfolio through drafting, filing, prosecuting and defending patent applications and patents. Some travel (domestic and/or international) may be required.

 

Who you are:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of patent law experience, especially in drafting and prosecuting biology and/or life science cases, preferably as in-house counsel.
  • Qualified or in process to be qualified as European Patent Attorney; qualified as French IP Counsel advantageous.
  • Minimum of a master / diploma degree in a biological science or comparable.
  • Fluent in English and French required; knowledge of German is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, attentive to details and possessing keen time management skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Quick adopter of digital tools and technologies for patent practices
