Your role:
 

The Life Science SG&A Controller serves as an advisor and business partner for all SG&A-related aspects of our Science & Lab Solutions Franchises. As a member of our Life Science SG&A Controlling team you will be instrumental in analyzing, forecasting, and providing actionable insights on the financial performance drivers, and support critical decision-making processes that directly impact on the achievement of our business objectives. As an integral part of our Finance team, collaboration with Business Franchises and adjacent finance teams is central to succeeding in this role.
 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct in-depth analysis on key movements in SG&A spending, enabling insightful recommendations and support for periodic forecast updates. Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, leveraging financial systems for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide clear and actionable insights into financial decision-making, contributing directly to achieving our business objectives. Utilize digital reporting and visualization solutions to create comprehensive and easily understandable business insights.
  • Drive the implementation and streamlining of financial processes, ensuring the consistent application of the Company’s accounting policies and integration with SAP SAC and other tools for seamless operations. Collaborate in resource allocation decisions and streamline routine processes, leveraging shared service resources for improved efficiency. 

 

Who you are:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in financial analysis, FP&A or a related field, preferably in a large multinational organization.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting with very strong work application knowledge, especially in SAP, TM1 and Excel.
  • Strong proficiency in business analysis and presentation skills, translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a solution-driven approach to working.
  • Strong working application knowledge: SAP and/or other ERPs, Business Intelligence and/or Business Objects Finance and advanced Excel/PowerPoint knowledge.
  • Fluent in business communication in English.
  • Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is preferred.
