Your role

As a Senior Network Engineer you will be reporting to the Head of Networks –South America you will be pivotal in ensuring the security and integrity of our Network Operation Center. You will be responsible for executing global Network guidelines being part of the strategy planning and tailoring them to meet Company requirements.

 

Your responsibilities

 

Act as an integral part of the global the network team providing support and services primarily during North American business hours. Work outside of normal business hours may be required as necessitated by business need. Handle support and escalation activities brought to the network group via support tickets, automated monitoring, user reporting, etc. Plan and enforce network and network security standards throughout the infrastructure. Think globally and work across departments and geographies, encouraging teamwork that respects diverse backgrounds and cultural differences to drive results. 

 

Who you are

 

You are a dedicated and experienced Network Engineer professional with a strong background in leading and supporting Network operations and implementing security measures within a complex organizational structure. You possess the following qualifications and skills:

 

  • 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in full-cycle design, engineering, configuration and administration of routers & switches, firewalls, multi-segment networks and MPLS WANs
  • Bachelor’s degree or IT / Network Related Certifications such CCNP and CCIE preferred.
  • Proficiency of various networking protocols and technologies such as HTTP – HTTPS – DNS – VPN (IPSec/SSL) - TCP/IP stack – FTP – TFTP – SMTP - IEEE Standards – QoS – VoIP (H.323, SIP) OSPF, MPLS, ACL's, eBGP /iBGP, 802.1D/W, Policy Based and Static routing, Fiber Channel over Ethernet, VRF and Virtual Device Contexts.
  • Proficiency to design complex networks that are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Proficiency with Layer 2 and Layer 3 network design, including switching, routing, and segmentation.
  • Advanced skills in managing traffic prioritization, bandwidth allocation and reducing network congestion.
  • Knowledge of WAN optimization and techniques to enhance performance over wide-area connections, such SD-WAN technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of core routing protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
  • Advanced switching concepts including Spanning Tree Protocol, VLANs, MPLS, and EtherChannel.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching infrastructure for enterprise environments.
  • Advanced understanding of firewall configurations, access control lists (ACLs), and VPN technologies.
  • Expertise in network security policies, traffic filtering, and encryption methods.
  • Knowledge of threat management, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security protocols like IPSec.
  • Ability to identify and resolve network issues at all layers (from physical to application).
  • Experience with using advanced troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Cisco IOS diagnostics, NetFlow, and others.
  • Expertise in handling critical incidents, diagnosing network failures, and performing root cause analysis.
  • Experience in Data Center Networking.
  • Ability to lead network projects, work with cross-functional teams, and communicate technical solutions to stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, standards (such as ITIL, COBIT, or ISO/IEC 27001), and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent coaching and escalation point skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Potential out-of-business hours maintenance work, as required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast paced and growing environment, while using sound judgment to resolve complex issues and challenges.
  • Comfortable leading changes.
  • Advanced level of English, written and speaking.
