Head of Commercial (Sales) , India


The Head of Commercial (Sales) India role is responsible to lead and manage sales activities of Surface Solution in India. The role is reporing to the Commercial Head Surface Solutions, Asia. The position can be based in different locations: Mumbai preferably.


Your role:

  • Design, develop, execute India Business plan with accountability on Sales, Margin, expense control; drive growth & sales performance and deliver on targets
  • Lead Sales & Cost management by optimizing resource allocation and priorities in order to maximize profitability.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales targets for segments & AM, regions and territories, projecting expected revenue & volume meeting the contribution margins
  • Lead the whole sales cycle from lead to cash for the country
  • Analyze market trends and discover new opportunities for growth, consolidate the VOC and bring back to marketing into actionable items
  • Build & maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships including distributor management, collaboration between sales and marketing by fostering a culture of process improvement
  • Evaluate market research, competitor and customer surveys, develop & execute China strategy aligning with regional and global strategies.
  • Strong collaboration with regional marketing and customer excellence with aspirational and ambitious objectives and support

 Who you are:

  • At least 10 years of experience leading Sales Organisation
  • Hold a Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or Business Administration or equivalent
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems and marketing automation systems (such as salesforce, market, outreach etc.)
  • Strong Understanding of Surface Solutions, or Electronics industry
  • Leadership experience, preferably with experience in managing change.
  • Highly experienced in stakeholder management at senior management level
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong analytical skills, big picture thinking
  • Ability to work with international as well as in global virtual teams
  • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations within a multi-cultural organization
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives (revenue targets, pipeline targets, etc.)
