This role will be responsible for developing social media strategy for corporate and therapy area social media channels globally including managing paid campaigns and set-up. This role includes developing global and local paid rollout strategies, creating template materials, optimising and managing digital campaigns as well as enhancing brand presence to achieve business goals. Additionally this role will be required to lead on onboarding of ad-accounts and Spinklr automation and set-up for efficient and transparency of campaigns across countries and TAs.

  • Strategic Development: Develop and execute comprehensive paid social media strategies tailored to our business goals, both corporate and within therapy areas, utilizing Sprinklr and native platforms where necessary.
  • Campaign Management: Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of paid campaigns on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging social/digital channels, ensuring seamless integration with other key digital assets (e.g., website, Google Ads).
  • Agency Management: Manage relationships with external agencies, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives. Support local teams in assessing agency performance in managing paid social media efforts.
  • Internal Education & International Support:  Create and deliver training materials for local/global teams, enhancing platform adoption and campaign consistency.Mentor and coach new hires and internal teams on best practices and platform innovations.
  • Template Creation: Develop template materials for global and local teams to ensure consistency in approaches and KPIs for paid social media across Merck Healthcare.
  • Performance Monitoring:  Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement to enhance strategic value. Conduct A/B testing, audience and creative optimization to drive measurable brand lift and revenue growth for a better ROI.
  • Collaboration:  Work closely with social media and therapy area teams to understand business needs and deliver tailored paid media solutions.Champion data-driven decision-making and foster a culture of innovation in digital advertising.Enhancement of Social Media Campaigns across all channels (corporate, HEC & CEO) thanks to data led analysis as well as strategic followership increase on Instagram. Act as a Thoughtleader for integrated social-digital campaigns across the Healthcare Business.
