Your role:
We are seeking an Event Manager for the Life Science Services (LSS) Commercial Excellence team. This role will report to the Life Science Services Head of Marketing Communications. The Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various events such as trade shows, conferences, webinars, and internal events to support business development, client engagement, and brand visibility. This role requires a strong understanding of the life sciences industry, as well as expertise in project management, vendor coordination, and marketing strategy. Key Responsibilities contain event strategy and planning by developing an annual event calendar in alignment with the company's marketing and sales strategy, focusing on industry events, client meetings, and thought leadership platforms.

 

You will coordinate event execution, manage the end-to-end logistics of events, including securing venues, coordinating travel and accommodations, managing event registration, and overseeing on-site execution. You will be responsible for budgeting and financial management, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining a high standard of execution. You will be responsible for vendor and stakeholder management e.g. negotiating contracts with external vendors and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.

The role plays around digital event coordinating, plan and executing virtual events such as webinars and online conferences, post-event analysis and reporting. 

 

Who you are:

  • 7+ years of experience in event management, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) industries.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, vendor, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with event management software and CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of the life sciences, CDMO industry and regulatory considerations is a plus.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management to provide cost-effectiveness.
  • Strong strategy and planning mindset to maintain a high standard of execution. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
