 The person in this position will leads the Quality control team, responsible for overall quality control aspects of raw materials, in-process, finished products and analysis service. Sets quality standards and ensures compliance.

The person in this position will be responsible for planning and directing activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for production process, material, and products.

Your Role

• Manage, develop and motivate a team of laboratory analysts to maintain safety and Quality
• Manage the QC testing of raw materials and finished products. Assure compliance with company standards including Gage R&R
• Manage all analytical functions, including analysis, maintenance, scheduling, data management, KPI tracking and reporting
• Develop and maintain a flexible organization such that changes in manufacturing priorities can be accommodated with a minimum of disruption. Work with manufacturing daily to meet their scheduling demands and disposition of out-of-specification or out-of-control product
• Develop and manage lab metrics e.g. daily releases, backlogs, instrument downtime, instrument utilization etc.
• Compile and analyze data to determine the operating efficiency of processes or equipment and to diagnose malfunctions
• Consult and work well with larger analytical community to ensure the best methods are employed and meet customer requirements with proper validation
• Promote and maintain clear communication
• Participate in and lead complaint (VoC) and incident investigations and prepare detailed reports on findings
• Provide technical expertise to make decisions on release of raw materials and finished goods
• Prepare the customer and internal audits check list and respond customer and internal audit
• Review QC data and approve all quality control documents prior to release
• Supervise staff and oversee production procedures to ensure that products meet quality standards
• Conduct investigations to determine the causes of defects or other problems with products or processes
• Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvement
• Evaluate new technology applications to improve processed or products
• Develop methods for measuring product quality and ensuring that it meets specifications
• Maintain documentation of quality control processes and results
• Assist QC manager in defining acceptance criteria for incoming material (IQC) and release limit & specification for the outgoing product(IPQC, OQC)
• Contribute to the timely and accurate preparation of quality control data and related documents, on the preparation of QC reports and progress reports
• Rapidly investigate and report the defect of the products in response to customer complaints
• Suggest corrective actions or recommendations for continuously improving the working process
• Support for other department’s analysis requests (Special or Routine monitoring)

Who you are

• Bachelor's Degree in chemistry or related field.
• +5 years of experience working in an analytical laboratory
• Knowledge in analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC, IC, ICM-MS, and UV/vis (Chromatography, Transmetal Analysis, Physucal Properties Analysis)
• +2 years of experience in supervisory (People management)
• Experience working with SAP and LIMS is a plus.
• Six sigma Grenn Belt or Blue Belt is a plus
• Experience working in Semiconductor industry dealing with customer audit/ complaints
• Proficient in English
• Capable of carrying out team and self-directed continuous improvement or research projects
• Good computer skills required (Scientific instrument software, Word, Excel)
• Initiative and self-motivated
• Good communications and organizational skills
• Experience working in a union environment
