Your Role:

• Proactively and reactively monitor and resolve incidents related to the backup environment.
• Log, track, and resolve support tickets within established SLAs.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure incidents are handled and resolved efficiently.
• Actively contribute to the execution of backup-related projects, including the implementation of new solutions, upgrades, and continuous improvements.
• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in internal meetings to discuss technical issues, backup environment evolution, and strategic planning.
• When required, coordinate meetings with vendors to resolve specific issues, discuss technical requirements, or negotiate service improvements.
• Get directly involved in escalated incidents related to critical failures in the backup environment.
• Work with specialized teams to quickly resolve critical issues, ensuring data continuity and integrity.
• Plan and execute regular upgrades to the backup environment, including hardware, software, and processes.
• Evaluate new technologies and industry best practices to enhance the company's backup infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues in backup processes, including slowness, failures, and other operational problems.
• Analyze logs, performance metrics, and take corrective actions to optimize backup system efficiency.

Who you are:

• Extensive experience in ISP/TSM backups.
• Excellent knowledge of ISP/TSM architecture 
• Hands on expert knowledge of TSM for VE, TDP for HANA/Oracle/SQL/SAP/NDMP
• Hands on experience on installing/configuring/upgrading ISP/TSM infrastructure including tape libraries.
• Good troubleshooting skills and knowledge about IBM storage protect would be desired.
• Hands on experience on ISP/TSM skills like protect stgpool/Node replication and storage rules.
• To be able to handle issues and escalation independently during shift timings.
• This position would require candidate to be available for on call duties on rotational basis.
• Advanced/Fluent English
