Your Role

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, diagnostics, and commissioning of Motor Control Systems (MCS) at customer sites in Cúcuta.

  • Configure, tune, and troubleshoot low- and medium-voltage Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), specifically from the Rockwell Automation / Allen‑Bradley product line (PowerFlex families).

  • Ensure proper communication and integration of field devices using standard industrial protocols such as EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, or ControlNet.

  • Act as the on-site technical point of contact, ensuring operational continuity for the customer, documenting Field Service Reports, and managing complex technical escalations.

  • Strictly comply with electrical safety standards (such as NFPA 70E) and internal occupational health and safety policies for work in industrial environments.

Your Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Technologist degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related technical/university programs (required).

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in field technical support, industrial electronics maintenance, or automation systems commissioning.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation Variable Frequency Drives (PowerFlex). Proficiency in programming and diagnostic software (such as Studio 5000, Connected Components Workbench – CCW). Working knowledge of control architectures and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP).

  • Technical English proficiency (required ability to read manuals, electrical diagrams, datasheets, and to document reports or participate in global technical training).
