We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with a strong background in neuroimmunology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the most influent members of the medical community in a collaborative way.
As the field representative of the N&I medical team, the MSL will serve as an advanced scientific expert for the assigned region.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and demonstrate comprehensive and in-depth scientific knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area (TA), including disease states, research advances, approved treatment options, and investigational therapies
  • Act as a field-based expert, building relationships with External Experts as trusted scientific partners, exchanging credible scientific information to improve patient care.
  • Understand local Field Medical strategies and how they align with Country and above Country Medical strategies; apply these strategies and prioritized scientific information to external stakeholder interaction plans.
  • Gather and internally communicate relevant opinions, expert knowledge, Medical Insights, and research and development concepts from external stakeholders to inform, advance, and potentially influence the strategic direction of the Medical Affairs department and the company.
  • Develop and implement territory Medical plans with assigned Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
  • Provide external stakeholders with accurate, up-to-date, and fair-balanced information on the Company’s investigational therapies following global and local rules regarding proactive and reactive communication.
  • Anticipate the unmet educational needs of stakeholders on medical, clinical, epidemiologic, and scientific topics and employ cutting-edge science in leading discussions to advance their understanding of the disease by sharing information and answering questions based on approved material within Regulatory guidelines..
  • May contribute to educational meetings or scientific Advisory Boards at the local/regional and national level.
  • Identify external stakeholders to develop partnerships in projects that generate scientific value for the company;
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues from other areas

 

Requirements:

This is a field-based position so the availability for extensive travelling (>50%), including overnight travel, periodic national meetings and potentially international conferences is mandatory.
 

  • University degree (Bachelor’s) required, preferably in a scientific field of relevance to the position.
  • Secondary/advanced scientific degree (e.g., MSc, PharmD, PhD, DO, MD) required.
  • Previous MSL, related pharmaceutical experience and experience in neuroimmunology preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of methodology of clinical research and Good Clinical Practice preferred.
  • Advanced English language competency and fluency in the local language.
  • Be based in São Paulo

     
  • Advanced scientific knowledge, relationship building, and networking skills.
  • Strong ability to evaluate publications on scientific content and communicate peer to peer on the scientific content with external stakeholders.
  • Master communicator to external stakeholders and peers, in both small and large group settings.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, for both in-person and virtual environments.
  • Good knowledge of computer tools and software (MS Office), including virtual interaction platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.).
