Business Development Manager

 

The Business Development Manager will utilize the candidate’s expertise in market and operational knowledge of the company’s capabilities. By fostering a consultative relationship with our customers, they will identify and develop new opportunities in the production materials sector.

 

This role will strategically focus on identifying customers, developing opportunities, and driving sales in key growth areas, including the Semiconductor, Display, Fine Chemical, and Stable Isotope markets. The individual will work collaboratively with Sales Account Managers, Regional, Local Marketing teams and Global Product Management teams to effectively grow our business.

 

Your Role

  • Identify and target specific segments from the existing product line for potential customers.
  • Develop and implement market-specific and account-specific strategies and growth plans.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers in assigned markets.
  • Seek potential business opportunities by contacting existing and potential customers, as well as strategic partners, and exploring new avenues.
  • Gain a deep understanding of key markets, players, target applications, requirements, trends, and needs, and share this knowledge.
  • Collaborate across regions and business units to drive DxRM (Diagnostics & Regulated Materials) growth.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the market and competitor landscape in key areas of DxRM.
  • Anticipate customer needs and offer end-to-end solutions through products and services that exist or can be developed.
  • Proactively contact customers/accounts to identify needs, present value-oriented products/offers, and build a pipeline of short-term & long-term opportunities to drive DxRM growth.
  • Provide feedback to the organization to guide strategy development as a primary voice of customers.

 

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
  • Minimum 5 years of proven commercial experience working in the targeted markets as a Business Development, Account Manager, ADE, Marketing or similar.
  • Experience in chemical industries like Electronic Materials, Cosmetics, Semiconductor, Display, Automotive and/or Fine chemical.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and possessing drive for success.
  • Strong customer centric attitude, business acumen and not afraid of cold calling.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex sales processes that involve multiple team members and multiple decision makers.
  • Proven business/sales development track record strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including development of technical product seminars and presentation experience to large and diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Fluent English is necessary.
