Your Role:

• Be part of an international and globally acting team. You will deliver excellent and superior service to the organization by providing intellectual property support in the field of our Electronics business and other areas. 
• Exhibit a strong understanding of the business needs, be able to work in cross-functional teams and be capable of translating Korean patent law into value generating activities for the businesses.
• Cover the full range of topics relating to technical intellectual property: patent drafting and prosecution, defending and enforcing intellectual property rights, negotiation of IP-related agreements and providing strategic recommendations to the business in complex patent issues.
• Support R&D colleagues to visits to their sites, especially in Poseung, Pyeongtaek and Daejeon.

Who you are:

• Bachelor degree in chemistry or related field with at least 3 years of work experience (Master degree in chemistry or related field is Preferred)
• More than 3 years of professional experience as inhouse patent counsel in industry or in a law firm with strong focus on chemistry-related IP topics
• Admitted as Korean Patent Attorney
• Curiosity and ability to quickly become familiar with various new scientific and technological topics
• Fluent in Korean and English language. Additional language skills are beneficial
• Excellent team player with strong analytical and convincing communication skills
• Profound understanding of intercultural behaviors in an international business environment
• Self-motivated and digital native
