Your role:

The Head of Process Solutions South Korea plays a pivotal role within the Process Solutions APAC leadership team, directly reporting to the Head of Process Solutions APAC. This position is essential for fulfilling Life Science mission of positively impacting health and life through science, as well as establishing a market leadership position in the region. The individual in this role is responsible for overseeing the business, strategy, processes, and personnel within the Process Solutions Korea organization. They will drive growth and ensure alignment across teams in Korea, aiming to realize the full market potential and enhance the client experience.
Key responsibilities include formulating and implementing an agile strategy for Process Solutions Korea that anticipates market mega-trends, complex challenges, and external factors like geopolitical influences. The incumbent must ensure that the strategy is effectively communicated and executed to meet long-term business needs. They will also be tasked with developing accurate demand planning and executing a rolling 36-month demand plan across all portfolios. Furthermore, the Head will create annual business plans aligned with the global marketing strategy and local market conditions, quantifying business outcomes, and developing business cases for key projects.
Leadership is another critical aspect of the role, where the Head will define and communicate the vision, mission, and values of the organization, inspiring a diverse workforce to commit to these goals. They will shape and evolve the organizational strategy in line with corporate principles, defining the structure and responsibilities of senior managers to achieve business objectives. This includes identifying necessary organizational capabilities, evaluating current skills, and prioritizing development activities while motivating the team to reach their full potential.
Performance management is essential, as the Head will manage and report on the performance of Process Solutions Korea, setting objectives for direct reports and holding them accountable. They must also ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies to minimize business risks. Additionally, the Head will participate in the Country Council Meeting for Life Science in Korea, representing Process Solutions and contributing to key discussions and decisions.

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Scientific related field, MBA preferred
  • 15+ years’ experience in sales management  
  • 10 + years’ experience in team management
  • Profound knowledge in both sales and marketing roles in Life Science or Pharma industry
  • Proven track-record in driving results through strategic planning and business insights.
  • Ability to lead and build effective team; listens and understands the ground reality
  • Ideally with cross-culture experience in other countries to broaden the view.
  • Possess a strategic mindset and strong business acumen
  • Ambitious, Result-driven (act as owner, need for achievement, challenge, power)
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator with the ability to influence
  • High agility and able to tolerate ambiguity
  • Courage to innovate and take calculated risk
  • Critical thinking
