The Regional Commercial Training Coach acts as an internal trainer on developing and enhancing skills, to foster a learning organization that supports the growth and success of our APAC Process Solutions business. This role is responsible for delivering commercial training in local languages, both in-person and virtual delivery.

 

The role can be based either in Singapore or Shanghai, China, and reports to Head of Education & Performance Consultancy.

 

Your Role:

  • In-House Sales Training: Delivering training on Consultative Selling, Strategic Selling with Perspective, Conceptual Selling with Perspective, Territory Sales Planning, Negotiation Skills, Techno-Commercial Skills, Data & Digital Skills.
  • Sales Coaching Practices: Collaborate with commercial team managers to enhance sales coaching practices, focusing on continuous improvement of coaching skills and data driven sales performance discussions.
  • Skills Gap Analysis: work with regional leadership teams to identify performance gaps in skills, behaviours, and mindsets. Recommend and implement suitable interventions to address thsee gap.  
  • Digital Tools Utilization: Collaborate with the commercial excellence team and regional sales managers to promote the use of relevant digital tools, such as SFDC as a CRM, and sales/orders dashboards for actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with assigned stakeholders to influence and promote the adoption of learning initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Training Management: Oversee and coordinate consultancy and in-house training activities, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and across ECP to meet deadlines.
  • Quality and KPIS: Ensure high-quality delivery and relevance of content for all programs. Align KPIs with stakeholders and report on progress.  
  • Embedding HIC Culture: Promote the Company’s high impact culture (HIC) behaviour among yourself and peers.
  • Training Coordination: Provide physical coordination & logistic support for training sessions, as needed, based on location.

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • Preferred certifications as a trainer in core commercial skills forB2B (e.g. Strategic selling, Conceptual selling, Presentation skills).
  • Trainer or Coaching certification is preferred.
  • Minimal of 7 years of experience in commercial roles within the Biopharma / Life Science industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales/commercial leadership role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Biopharma market, including current trends across geographies.
  • Advanced command of Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc).
  • Experience working with SMEs, managers and line employees, with the ability to coordinate complex educational projects.
  • Proven track record in conducting training needs analysis, and identifying gaps in mindset, skillset, and behaviour.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise, design and consult effective learning and behavioural change experience based on identified training needs.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with tight timelines. 
  • Skilled in managing and influencing stakeholders in a complex organizational environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese. Proficiency in additional language (Korean or Japanese) is preferred.
