Your Role:
The Sales Training Consultant partners with sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to equip customer-facing teams with proven selling skills, design and deploy impactful learning journeys, and ensure coaching excellence. The role drives strategic alignment to sales priorities, optimizes field performance, and elevates every customer interaction to strengthen overall business results.
Job Description:
- Collaborating with the head of commercial selling skills and onboarding capabilities, this individual would design, develop, and deliver selling skills content and learning journeys that improve sales performance and customer engagement
- Create and maintain a scalable learning pathway (onboarding, role-based training, continuous development) that elevates sales effectiveness and manager coaching capabilities
- Lead the end-to-end learning lifecycle (needs assessment, design, development, delivery, evaluation, and iteration) with measurable impact on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership to translate sales strategies into practical training programs and capability models that drive consistent execution for the Asian region
- Manage and influence multiple stakeholders (sales, marketing, product, HR, operations) to secure alignment on learning priorities, budgets, and timelines
- Design measurement frameworks (feedback loops, learning analytics, business impact studies) to quantify training effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
- Enable and coach frontline managers to apply coaching routines, behavioral feedback, and performance improvement plans with their teams
Preferred location:
- Singapore, South Korea, Japan.
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Who You Are:
Minimum Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in learning and development or life science related area
- Minimum 3 years’ experience designing and developing learning solutions
- Sales experience with some sales management experience preferred
- Demonstrated history of coaching and mentoring sales (inside and field) people and sales managers
- Full proficiency in English and at least one other Asian language to deliver impactful sales training and manage regional stakeholders
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders and deliver training in multiple Asian languages; translate training documents from English as needed
- Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, strong storytelling, scenario-based learning, simulations and blended learning modalities (in-person, virtual, on-demand, microlearning)
- Ability to translate complex scientific and technical concepts into clear, actionable sales message and value propositions
- Strong collaboration, influencing, and facilitation skills with cross-functional leaders at multiple levels
- Experience developing evaluation frameworks (Kirkpatrick level 3/4 or equivalent) and using data to drive continuous improvement
- Ability to tailor selling skills to different roles (account managers, sales specialists, customer applications support, global strategic accounts)
- Effective classroom and virtual facilitation; comfortable delivering to diverse audiences.
- Experience driving user adoption of training programs and coaching practices; ability to overcome resistance and sustain behavior change
- Strong project management skills for planning, prioritization, and delivery; adept at managing multiple workstreams and deadlines
