Commercial Excellence Sr. Manager – SLS APAC Commercial:


The APAC Commercial Excellence Sr.Manager for the Science and Lab Solutions Commercial business will play a key role in the ongoing transformation driving business growth and enhancing operational efficiency through the development and implementation of effective commercial strategies. Key objectives of the role include further refinement and implementation of processes and tools to drive commercial excellence and effectiveness by designing, planning, and implementing commercial processes and initiatives that increase top and bottom-line results. This position requires the ability to work across all levels of the organization to develop and enhance a culture of business excellence at both the strategic and tactical level.


Your Role:

  • Commercial Excellence scope: Lead to Post-Sales activities.
  • Collaborate with leadership and Country Commercial Enablement team to evaluate and analyze key business commercial and customer processes, propose and drive improvement and harmonization to maximize efficiencies, level of service and scale, and ultimately customer experience.
  • Design and monitor commercial KPIs to track performance and strategic alignment, and conduct meaningful commercial analysis and develop insights-driven reporting to drive optimal decision making to drive commercial growth and profitability.
  • Identify systems improvement that will enable key processes – be the project owner and advocate of the APAC Region for digital projects (ERP and other applications) - support the APAC Region for prioritization and be the main contact point for IT.
  • Liaise/align with the equivalent Americas/EMEA teams to drive best practices globally and prioritize capability development; strive for process alignment.
  • Territory and incentive management: drive effective incentive plan and regional governance and improvements with commercial insights, aligning with the overall strategic objectives.
  • Sales Force Effectiveness: Enhance sales processes through innovative solutions and technology integration to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Pipeline Management, including SFDC: 
      • Develop strategic vision of end-to-end sales funnel for sales pipeline analysis and management in commercial context and sustainable business growth,
      • Drive the APAC Pipeline review process and implementation of digital solutions, liaising with the Americas/EMEA organization and IT.
  • Transformational projects: Manage transformational projects that requires business coordination or users for Regional APAC level optimization.



Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master of Business Administration, preferred.
  • Work experience: 10+ years’ experience in sales, or commercial excellence roles.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, coupled with strong business acumen, rooted in strong commercial and financial principles.
  • Ability to drive regional commercial effectiveness autonomously and a well-respected team player.
  • Ability to summarize complex quantitative concepts clearly and concisely, both orally and in written communications to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong track record in leadership by influence without authority in an environment with potential conflicting priorities within complex matrixes with an ability to “lead by example.”
  • Proven track record of leveraging analytics & reporting to influence sales outcomes through meaningful insights delivery.
  • Proven track record of Project / Change management, with ability to drive change effectively.
  • Manage multiple assignments and competing priorities simultaneously, complete high-volume workloads with a take-charge attitude to meet deadlines.
  • Sound international experience in a highly matrixed business environment and ability to build relationships and foster a collaborative environment with all stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, exercise sound judgment and possess the confidence and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with Senior Leadership.
  • Understanding and effectively govern territory management and incentive principles.
  • Strong background in Sales, with SFDC admin certified or equivalent knowledge, preferred.
