Who We Are: The Customer Application (CA) group delivers high-quality scientific and technical support to our customers in the development or manufacturing biopharmaceuticals. The Technical Application Expert (TAE) Downstream (DSP) serves as a partner to Account Managers throughout the sales process, providing technical and application expertise to secure sales. The TAE DSP collaborates closely with customers to understand their downstream process applications and value drivers. Adopting a customer- centric approach, the TAE DSP offers solutions that align with customers’ process objectives.
The Technical Application Expert (TAE), Downstream (DSP) role will be based in Singapore, and reporting to Head of CA Downstream, APAC excluding China.
Your Role:

Propel business growth of the Company’s chromatography portfolio, serving as the subject matter expert for chromatography-related technical inquiries in the Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Oceania regions.

Develop and implement marketing initiatives based on a comprehensive understanding of the biopharma market and chromatography technology landscape.

Partner with customers to identify their chromatography process needs and goals, uncovering potential business opportunities.

Provide recommendations and consultations to assist customers in implementing or modifying chromatography processes.

Leverage strong product and application expertise to position and promote our downstream technologies in alignment with customers’ process objectives.

Work alongside Account Managers to navigate the sales process from lead to order, articulating the unique value proposition to achieve business success.

Collaborate with other teams to facilitate post-sales activities, including training and troubleshooting, ensuring customer satisfaction with the Company’s products and services.

Support product cycle management, including new product alpha/beta tests, product obsolesce.

Utilize a consultative approach to aid the implementation and cross-selling of additional downstream solutions such as depth filters for clarification, sterile filters for aseptic processing, virus removal technologies, and tangential flow filtration technologies.

Collaborate with global and regional teams in Go-To-Market strategies, and provide insights on market trends, customer dynamics, competitions etc.

Work with commercial partners to plan customer activities and lead internal discussions for downstream-related topics.

Foster exceptional relationships with customers to enhance customer experience and enable customer queries to be managed more effectively and efficiently.
Who You Are:

A minimum of 10 years of professional working experience in biopharma industry.

Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, chemical engineering or a related field.

Extensive expertise and industrial experience with chromatography technologies specific to the biopharma industry a must.

Familiarity with GMP operations and change controls related to chromatography process steps is a plus.

Experience working in a commercial organization highly desirable.

Knowledge and experience in other biopharma downstream technologies, such as sterile filtration, depth filtration for clarification, tangential flow filtration and virus removal are beneficial.

Strong understanding and knowledge of the biopharmaceutical market and chromatography technology landscape in Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Oceania.

Excellent technical communication and presentation skills in English.

Understand selling process and capable of applying advanced selling skills.

Ability to translate technical knowledge into effective marketing materials.

Proficient in using CRM business tools such as Salesforce.com (SFDC) for reporting and information sharing.

Willingness to travel to customer sites within assigned territory on short notice over 30%).

Occasional extended travels for global team meetings to be expected.
